Supporting Gatehouse Centre at the Royal Children’s Hospital

Hello friends ~ we have some good news to start your week.

Many of you know that The Melbourne Sinfonia is an Auxiliary of the Royal Children’s Hospital. We donate profits from our concerts to the Hospital’s Gatehouse Centre which is a “Centre Against Sexual Assault”.

Thanks to your support and donations, we were recently able to donate $2,000 to Gatehouse.

This will help Gatehouse continue to provide assessment, treatment and advocacy services to children, young people and their families affected by sexual abuse (known or suspected) or concerning sexual behaviours. These services mainly help families living in the North Western metro area of Melbourne and the cities of Moreland and Hume.

Gatehouse also provides valuable training and consultation services to professionals and other agencies.

Thank you all for supporting this very worthy cause.

Bravo!

Bravo to our musicians and director Joannes Roose for a fabulous concert last night! And congratulations to Luke Severn for his captivating performance of Elgar’s Cello Concerto.

Thanks as always to our audience and volunteers who keep the orchestra running. You enable us to perform these concerts and support a worthy cause – Gatehouse at the Royal Children’s Hospital.

Thank you and congratulations to all.
