After a winter break, it’s great to be rehearsing together again. Nothing like some Beethoven to warm the bones!
Our concert is only a month away. Hope to see you there for an evening of wonderful music in aid of the Royal Children’s Hospital Gatehouse.
We’re very excited to announce that the highly-acclaimed Streeton Trio will perform Beethoven’s Triple Concerto at our next concert on Friday, 9 September.
Described by Musica Viva as “Australia’s most internationally successful piano trio,” the trio was formed in 2008, in Geneva, Switzerland, from 3 young Australian musicians. Now based in Sydney, the trio comprises Emma Jardine (violin), Benjamin Kopp (piano) and Umberto Clerici (cello).
Read more about the trio on our Soloists page or on their website at streetontrio.com.
Our next concert on 24 June is fast approaching. The program will feature Borodin and Berlioz, and acclaimed soprano Lee Abrahmsen.

It’s already mid-April which means we will recommence rehearsals in a few weeks!
We have just about finalised our concert programs for the rest of 2016. As well as symphonies by Borodin, Beethoven and Mozart, we’ll be welcoming some acclaimed guest soloists during the year: soprano Lee Abrahmsen, the Sydney-based Streeton Trio, and pianist Glen Riddle.
