We have some great news to share. Since 2014 we’ve been supporting the Royal Children’s Hospital Gatehouse, which provides crisis and ongoing services to children, adolescents and their families where sexual abuse is known or suspected to have happened.
Gatehouse recently used donations from The Melbourne Sinfonia to purchase five sensory toy boxes for use in counselling rooms. These boxes allow comforting, repetitive sensory experiences and soothing and patterned play with safe, patient adults. They improve self-regulation and functions relating to motor, emotional, social and cognitive skills.
We look forward to continue supporting Gatehouse.
