Concert 16 June 2023 ~ Grand Opera Duets and Dvorak

We are thrilled to announce the program for our next concert on Friday, 16 June 2023:

* Otto Nikolai ~ Overture to The Merry Wives of Windsor
* Georges Bizet ~ The Pearl Fishers: Prelude and Duet “Je frémis, je chancelle” (Leila and Zurga)
* Giuseppe Verdi ~ La Traviata: Prelude and Duet “Pura siccome un angelo” (Violetta and Giorgio Germont)
* Antonin Dvorak ~ Symphony No. 7 in D minor Op.70

Our talented soloists are Lee Abrahmsen (soprano) and Christopher Hillier (baritone). Read more about Lee and Christopher here.

Concert Program 17 March 2023 ~ Beethoven and Mendelssohn

We are delighted to announce the program for our first concert of the year, on Friday 17th March:

  • Mendelssohn ~ The Fair Melusine Overture
  • Beethoven ~ Piano Concerto No. 4 with soloist Cameron Roberts
  • Beethoven ~ Symphony No. 3 “Eroica”

The concert will commence at 8pm at the James Tatoulis Auditorium, Methodist Ladies’ College, Kew. Online tickets will be available soon. We hope to see you there!

The year is flying by and we are preparing for our last concert of the year.

* Mendelssohn ~ Concerto for Violin, Piano and Strings with soloists Matthew Rigby (violin) and Yiyun Gu (piano)
* Beethoven ~ Symphony No. 8
